move to the Western Conference. Right now, there are 9 in the West and 10 in the East. Next season, 1 is leaving the West (Chivas), and 2 are joining the East (Orlando and NYC). That puts it at 12 in the East and 8 in the West. Therfore, the two western-most teams will change conferences (Houston and KC).
