NASL and USL need to merge and just accept their second tier status and develop that league to help grow the game in cities that don't have MLS teams.

USL Pro already has acknowledged their second tier status. NASL never will I don't think. Sounding like that STL team will be a Fire affiliate btw.

You might be thinking of their USL PDL team. The PDL is fourth tier iirc. USL Pro is third. That team SKC played in the USOC last season, Des Moines Menace, is also in the PDL.
