do people run for reasons other than just showing off their oiled abs? might be in the wrong thread.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Formulating an experiment here guys...

Get super fit, run marathon.

Get super fat, run marathon.

Post results.

The control group will do kegels.

Pretty sure the scientific method frowns on altering more than one variable.   :dunno:

I mean, results would be hard to pin down to the kegels vs the weight.

Sounds like we're going to have to start from square one on this thing.

I kegel as I run.  Very elite exercise combo.  You see I maintain my scrawny shitty pud body with the running (I mean while not fat, I still look like total crap) and then I also have powerful and long lasting sex muscles that are needed thanks to the amaze runner's bod.  You should try it some time and then wonder how the eff you were living before that moment, because guess what friend....you weren't. :gocho:

it's time to talk about where you put your nike+ (progress tracking is mandatory IMO)

Trust me, you're gonna know when you're doing enough kegels and at the proper intensity.  gocho  No app necessary.

2 miles this afternoon.  Hadn't run in like 3 weeks.  Was a lot colder than I anticipated and my hands got cold.

New SB personal record for distance. (Stud runners just abbreviate this PR since it happens so often.) Might even be a distance world record, but I can't be sure about that.

Grats SB on the pr!!! Running is my sport. 7 years of high school/college XC and now marathon training for OKC.

My favorite places to run in MHK
1. Bike path on linear
2. Linear from Griffith Park to Rays(currently under construction :curse: )
3. Any path that leads me by BSFS at night. Usually pat Fake Statue LHCBS's Nike Cortez for good luck.

Anyone ever run into something/ bit it while running? Got close lined by an electrical cord on Claflin.

I took a tumble a few weeks ago on a trail run. I'd been to the top of a pass near Gatlinburg. I was rolling pretty good down the hill when my toe caught a root. Nice somersault down the trail. Fortunately, just a bruise on my shoulder. Trail was full of rocks. I don't know how I avoided them.

Stud runners: thoughts on this guy's breathing techniques? Even though his name is Budd and he looks like he should be in the NASA control room in Apollo 13, wat do u think?

Interesting technique. Makes sense regarding core stability.

Current dilemma:  spend nearly the next 16 weeks properly rehabilitating self diagnosed new patellar tendonitis (tendonapathy, more accurately) and forgo spring marathon or say eff it and start officially training in January while doing best to assuage the injury with stretching and strengthening.

Knowing nothing about any of this, I say go nuts since you already paid.

No running.  Not much improvement.  Possible stress fracture of upper tibia.  Appointment with Orthopedist on Monday.  Insufficient time to train for spring marathon once it heals.  This is my first injury, so I feel like I'm earning my stripes!
