Ran 5 miles this morning.  Nearly 500 ft elevation gain the first 2 was killer.  Will take me awhile to get used to that.

About to go on my last decent run before the marathon one week from today.  Since I'm supposed to be tapering or whatever I think I'll probably keep it to about 7 miles max. Right? Or is even that too much?

Also IPA, what do I need to do fitness wise between now and next Sunday? Should I not run at all but ride my bike to work a few times? Do I run smaller ones on an elliptical a few more times?

That's a good number for today.  3-5 mile run with pickups (fartlek) every other day would be good. Nothing two days out. Do your warm up routine day before marathon. You don't want to completely curtail your running this week. Your mind and body body will revolt.

Good luck with your race. Which one is it?

I do wonder if it would be physically possible to do that dance for an entire marathon.

bad news, bros. on wednesday when i was running i stepped on an acorn and rolled my ankle. i didn't think it was anything at the time but i have a high ankle sprain. i just ran four miles and it hurt  :frown:. i'm icing it now.

Where can we find the acorn that did this to you???

i stared it right in its fat face as i ran by it tonight. felt much better today after two days rest.

T-y! I'll type more later on tonight or tomorrow. I'm gonna go slam a whole stuffed crust and sleep through the Super Bowl.

Ran 4ish mixed with a bunch of sprints and hills and plyometric work thrown in. Wanted to die. Feel better now.
