Heading into the fourth quarter of the BCS National Championship Game in Pasadena, Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher needed to encourage his star quarterback, Jameis Winston. The Heisman winner had been struggling mightily on the night, but his team was trailing by only eight with one quarter left to play, and Fisher knew that the Seminoles had a shot if Winston could get rolling.
So what did Fisher tell his signal-caller? “The great ones like Michael Jordan can put three bad quarters behind them and shine” — of course after that, Winston finished the game with some incredibly clutch play and threw the go-ahead touchdown with less than a minute remaining, and was named the game’s Offensive MVP.
It’s been a few days, but apparently Winston is still taking the “great ones” thing to heart. Late last night, he decided to post on Instagram an incredibly odd selfie featuring himself on the toilet with Jordan in his background, along with the following caption:
So constipated lol dang but I got greatness behind me even when I take one # realninjaish #believethat
