I've never been there but I feel like I have a lot in common with Wisconsiners.
Decent airport for traveling.
wasn't this where Midwest Express/Airlines was HQ'd?
Can confirm. But, then they sold out to Republic/Frontier and now that airlines gone down the tubes.
Also, can confirm that Milwaukee (my current metro of residence) is a decent place: great summers, good people, festivals, VERY comparable to KC (the good and bad: hyper segregation, etc.). But the winters - oh man! We just got a cold front in and I'm shivering.
Bubbles - I believe the correct term is: Wisconsinites (the folks over in Michigan are Michiganders).
To answer the question: I'd move to San Diego in a heartbeat if all things were equal (e.g. adjusted income to match cost of living increase there). I know some other fellow KC-expats there too, they LOVE it and I've always had a great time (as has the family) when I visit.
