I think the problem is that too many people are expecting every question from the past 6 seasons to be answered, but that's not going to happen.  Some questions you just have to brush aside as part of the dramatic experience of the show, and some stuff is open to your own interpretation.

I loved the episode, btw.  Love how they never named Jacob's brother, adds to the mysteriousness of things.

Lost's and ABC's youtube channel actually named him as Esau, which was interesting. I wonder if they'll ever use the name or just keep it tucked away to avoid the literal biblical comparisons.

who ended up building the wheel thingy that transports you off the island ???

If you consider that jacob has brought many people to the island over thousands of years and smokey has, in some capacity, been able to manipulate them, he could have gotten some of those people to build that thing using his influence.  I think the writers are leaving that up to our imaginations, like basically all the real "mysteries" of the show.

wish we could have figured out why mib couldn't kill jacob with his own hands.  was that true before or after he became smokey.  i can see it not being true before he became smokey considering jacob actually killed mib.  but after becoming smokey he couldn't kill jacob because the light thingy that turned him into smokey told him no
it was obviously true before he became smokey, there "mother" must have made them that way. and jacob did not kill the mib the light killed him imo.

I'd also like to know when/how this convo happened.
I mean he(mib) was killed before the black rock landed right? So how is he in his own body when this conversation is taking place? (does that make sense)

well now we know that it's really the smoke monster and not his brother that he had that conversation with.

But Jacob laid his body to rest. So how would he have that conversation with him as himself.  :ohno: :runaway: :dunno:

Smokey took his bros body just like he took locke's body.  He doesn't actually take the body he just looks like them.  Does this answer your question?  Not sure what you're asking.

This is like the most confusing week of my life.  Extremely happy to get some answers, extremely sad that it's almost over.

I'm frustrated because there are a lot of answers that won't be addressed.   :embarrassed:

I think this is a pretty good list to start with.

So thats how Richard goes, eh?
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

Pretty badass. Dez fracking rules. How the hell do he and Hurley know everything?  No way after all this time that is how Ricardo goes down.

Great episode.  Sad about Richard.  Could have done more with his character IMO.

yeah, that's the only issue I had with the epi.  I love me some evil, sinister Ben;  I do think he's trying to play/con Smokey somehow.  Des is always fantastic.  He's been the failsafe for the show, imo.

I'm not sure if Ben was trying to con smokey at first, but he might start now that smokey told Ben he wants to destroy the island.  and where did Miles go?

yeah.  weird he told him that.  considering he told him 15 minutes earlier that he could have the island to himself or restore his power over the island
