Waters couldn't/hasn't separated himself either.  And quite frankly, Waters has been given more slack, given more chances, and allowed to do more things (regardless of whether he can do them or not) and yet that same chance, slack, opportunity was/is not given to Sams.  This game was a rough ridin' abortion.  Bill and those mindless rough ridin' OC's aborted hope.

Since we'll actually have an emergency backup next year (Ertz), I think Bill may let Sams do more Boykin-type things.  Play WR, play RB, return kicks, take some snaps at QB, etc.

This year we definitely didn't have the luxury.  Next year, we can take some more chances.
