90% of players have to be molded into leaders. Shane and Will would fit this category. oscar failed to make them leaders, and it's showing. If you want to blame it on Frank for not developing them into leaders when they were sophomores, then you're trolling worse (better?) than kim carnes.

Or they're just not capable of being leaders and it is what it is.   It's the 4th game of the season and two guys any coach would have counted on this year to knock down open shots consistently based on prior performance can't find their ass so far . . . this year.

You obviously can't be helped. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the Frank years. I'm more sorry that you are having to defend what's going on right now with our bball team. It must be hard. Ts and Ps.

Just a typical Frankite style tap out.  Who said I didn't enjoy the Frank years?   But you're a complete dumbass if you didn't think there wouldn't be some struggles this year.

I thought there would be struggles this year, sure. I thought they would come when we got blown out by Georgetown, or struggling to go .500 in conference. I didn't imagine we'd be going 2-2 to begin the year, and our losses would come against shitty competition. If you're okay with that, then you can get the eff out. Also, if you enjoyed the Frank years, then you're pretty rough ridin' stupid for celebrating when they were over.

I didn't celebrate when the Frank years were over.   Frank just had all you guys conned into believing he wanted to coach at K-State for another ten years, just like some people actually believe Bob Huggins when he says that he would have stayed at K-State for a really long time if it weren't for the West Virginia job.    Not okay in the least with losing to $hitty teams, but when two seniors repeatedly miss wide open shots, and when guys (including supposedly good FT shooters) go to the line in one loss and miss 15 plus FT's (in one of the losses) it's pretty hard to actually blame the coach for every bit of that (including 2 seniors going 4 for 9 from the stripe).

Probably so, but then again I won't place all the blame on one party, and I'm not all in when it comes to doing whatever it takes to keeping a guy who IMO was being extremely difficult on purpose.    There's a reason why Frank was going off on certain parties on the recruiting trail, and IMO Frank saw the handwriting on the wall from a talent perspective.

I'd say I'm 50/50 on that right now.  But sadly I don't think we're going to have that problem.   But that said, I'm not going to toss it all under the bus after 4 games.

Your knock on Frank seems to be he was only interested in advancing his career and was using Kstate as a stepping stone.  I'm just suggesting that all coaches are that way.

You can argue till you're blue in the face that Frank's recruiting was going to produce poor results at some point, but when he left there was no tangible evidence that that would have happened. oscar on the other hand, is already reaping the consequences of poor recruiting. You can make all the excuses you want to about his first recruiting class, but it sucked ass. His second recruiting class may be fine, but two of them aren't eligible at all this year, one won't be eligible until semester, and one of them is obviously not a D1 player. Our program had more than enough momentum when he got here to be a tourney team every year, and unless something drastic happens this year, he will already have failed at letting that momentum carry him to reasonable expectations. oscar should be on the clock, something that Frank's performance as a coach never warranted.

I fully expect every KSU coach to be interested in ultimately landing a better job at some point.

Absolutely.  Hoiberg is circulating resumes all over the country and he actually played at ISU.  Its the nature of the biz

Frank had multiple complete $hit recruiting classes.   Here's Frank's Senior class (which we're experiencing this year)  Will Spradling, Shane Southwell, Omari Lawrence.

Gipson has played two games this year and today he played all of 8 minutes before fouling out, while the 3 seniors clanked one after another.  Hell, both Shane and Omari damn near broke the back board from 3 feet on a couple of occasions.

Sometimes you can't land a "better" job when you've poisoned the waters all around you, in the office, on the recruiting trail, with only a legion of sycophants to con into believing it was all the AD's fault.

Foster is pretty much the least of our concerns, if you're Marcus Foster and you're watching the complete $hit show two seniors are putting out there you keep firing.   It's gotta suck for guys like Foster, and some of the others knowing that the two seniors are doing NOTHING to take away the defensive pressure.

There's a 13 % point difference between the 2 from behind the arc, and one is a true freshman and one is a senior.
