1. Have you gotten into a fist fight as an adult? Last fight was in 2004 I think, maybe 2003. Never again imo.  Felt bad.
2. When was the last fight you saw in person? Disgusting display shared by Metalhead outside Bullchicks when an army tried to beat up a random old man for no reason.
3. Do you say terrible things to other people and don't expect any possible physical retribution? No.
4. If someone kicked your ass one-on-one would you call the cops on them? Never.
5. Would you fight someone simply because of what they said about you or a loved one on the internet? If so has his ever happened on goEMAW.com? No.

No. 2 begs a question.  What do you do in that situation?  I don't like to see people be wronged or abused, and I wanted to step in, regardless of the danger to me.  Luckily, things didn't get too out of hand and the old man got in his car and drove off.  The dude who was trying to beat on him was large and would have definitely kicked my ass.

I don't really remember this. I'm assuming this was while I was waiting on Seven to show up with his pup for dogPAK? If so, didn't we harass that group of idiots pretty hard for rough ridin' with the old man?

Might've been.  The assaulter was there the last two times I was there.  But I think the guys you are thinking of were three guys at a table talking a lot of trash to a drunken bear. Then again I was wasted, so I'm kind of foggy too.  You might not have been around.

You would of remembered the old guy though.  Just drove up in a gold car, walked over to Dara's and when he came back the army guy was talking mess so old guy confronted/ didn't back down (bad choice).
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

1. Have you gotten into a fist fight as an adult?

No, I have broken up some fights though including the 1 below.

2. When was the last fight you saw in person?

Bachelor party in Chicago last September. 15 bro's in a bar, 2 unrelated groups start pushing and shoving next to us. We had been chit chatting with one group and someone from our group started chanting "F that guy, F that guy"(My friends love to start chants, tomahawk chop, USA, etc etc, no malicious intent). My group ends up getting kicked out with the 2 groups fighting.

We are getting ready to move to the next bar and I see the bachelor's meat head cousin(Just met him like 3 hours ago) talking crap to some other people...10 seconds later there is a big scrum and punches are flying. We start breaking it up and I am the one who ends up having to pull meathead cousin out of the scrum...right before I pulled the meathead out he got jacked in the jaw and I thought "Good, he deserved it"

I drag the guy away and we start taking back alleys back to the house we are staying at. After about 2 blocks meathead guy says F this and starts sprinting back to the original bar.
:bang: :bang: :bang:.  So freaking stupid.

3. Do you say terrible things to other people and don't expect any possible physical retribution?

Nope

4. If someone kicked your ass one-on-one would you call the cops on them?

If I was jumped or something then yes, normal bar type fight then no.

5. Would you fight someone simply because of what they said about you or a loved one on the internet? If so has his ever happened on goEMAW.com?

No, its the internet.

1. Have you gotten into a fist fight as an adult? Not really. I was involved in many small flurries during rugby matches, but only one devolved into a full blown fight and I wasn't at the center of that one. In the big fight I threw one punch and then two of the other teams bigger guys punched/threw me out of the action.
2. When was the last fight you saw in person? I don't know, I'm usually pretty drunk when these things break out and I have paid less and less attention to them over the last few years.
3. Do you say terrible things to other people and don't expect any possible physical retribution? Yes, but I'm pretty smart about choosing my targets and I make sure that they will be blamed for escalating the situation. A sarcastic compliment paired with a "dumbass" is the best insult. I usually played rugby on the edge of the rules and would sometimes talk crap, I have ducked or dodged quite a few punches.
4. If someone kicked your ass one-on-one would you call the cops on them? Only if I felt that they started it and only if I needed medical attention.
5. Would you fight someone simply because of what they said about you or a loved one on the internet? If so has this ever happened on goEMAW.com? No, but I might push them down if I see them blackout drunk in Aggieville.

To me if you call someone a bitch or a pussy you should be prepared for that person to prove you right or wrong. I hate that the internet has given people license to say things to others they would never say in person. Even worse is when these people are confronted they hide behind calling other an "internet tough guy."
I rarely call people a bitch or a pussy to imply that they are physically weak or a coward(I stick with "dumbass") and I rarely am called one so I don't have much of an opinion here. Also, I figure that there would be a better understanding between the parties if the conversation was taking place in person where fighting could be done so I give everyone that benefit.

Before you freak, just hear me out on this. I tipped a wheelchair guy over twice on Sunday and I guarantee you anyone in my position would've done the same thing so just listen to this crap. The first time was honestly an accident, but I find out pretty quick that this d*ckhead had it coming. Me and my parents were minding our business at the Pizza Hut lunch buffet after church (more like nap time) just waiting for a fresh batch of dessert pizza. Anyway, so these moron workers finally get it sorted and bring out the goods after what feels like forever and I kind of start walk-jogging over there with my mouth still full of breadstick. I have my "game face" on and literally nothing can stop me from getting this 'ssert 'zza before everyone else there. Mom's yelling at me to slow down which is only making me hungrier and angrier and that's when it happened. Bozo wheels rolls up out of nowhere and I hip check him into next week. Now at this point I really do feel bad and I immediately start helping him up, but that's when he said it. Looks me dead in the eyes and spews this indescribable venom with such genuine malice and hatred. "My legs literally don't work and I could still walk circles around you, klutz balls." I'm shaking at this point. Like, I'm seconds away from dumping ranch all over this prick, but I think better of it. Decide to drop his ass right there on the spot with a flying two-footed dropkick to the shoulder. Landed it. Maybe my best ever. He's on the ground, clinging to consciousness by a thread, so I get down in his face and whisper "legs for days, big guy" and make a couple buffet boxes for the road. Just eating leftovers now and I found out yesterday that this punk grandpa actually goes to our church. Oops!  :D

Pizza Hut lets you box up things from the buffet?  No way.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

My last year of baseball when i played for the Lawrence Raiders, I got into my first dugout clearing brawl. Our guy got hit for his 4th time up to the plate. He charged the mound and the dugouts cleared. I thought I was going to get a bat to my backside. You don't know what's going to happen when ppl are running around aimlessly, with objects, and you're going up against bishop ward. :runaway:

1. Have you gotten into a fist fight as an adult? Nope, usually am the one calming the situation.  Also, not a small person so I dont think people generally try to start fights with me.
2. When was the last fight you saw in person? Saw a kid get one punched at the Iowa State tailgate.  He dropped pretty quick and was bleeding from all over his face.  The little gator ambulance came and there were cops all over.
3. Do you say terrible things to other people and don't expect any possible physical retribution? No.
4. If someone kicked your ass one-on-one would you call the cops on them? Not unless he was jumping me with a weapon or something and stole stuff.
5. Would you fight someone simply because of what they said about you or a loved one on the internet? If so has his ever happened on goEMAW.com? No.

1.  maybe sorta?  would need definitions of adult and also of a fistfight.
2.  don't recall.
3.  i don't expect it, but that's happened.
4.  would depend on circumstances.
5.  no.

i'm kinda different than what i think is the normal pattern.  i was pretty pacifisty as a youth and young man, then got kinda angry for several years as an adult (i'm mostly more calm again now) and initiated or responded to several confrontations.  none of those ever escalated into a fistfight, but i kinda wanted all of them to.  in retrospect, i wish i had gotten in more fights as a youngster when it was more socially acceptable.  i think it would have been good for me.

1.  One time my sophomore year in college, but i have not come close since.
2.  I saw two girls fight at the American royal bbq last month.  Seems like the only fights I see these days are between girls.
3. No
4. Only if I was jumped or attacked
5 . No I wouldn't, fighting is for kids IMO.  A man should only fight when he or a loved one is in real physical danger.  The way I see it is when you get in a fight you don't know how far the other guy will take it.  For all you know he may be willing to beat you to death should he get the chance.  So when you enter into a fight you have to think you are entering into a life and death situation.  I'm not willing to beat a man to death over something stupid so I don't fight over stupid things.

If college counts, then yes.  It was a really bad idea and I got in a lot of trouble afterward.  A friend and I got into it with some guys walking home from the bars.  I knocked one of them out.  Not with a punch, I threw him into a van and he hit his head on the bumper.  He was snoring immediately.  The fight ended then.  Everyone was pretty freaked out on account of how unnatural it sounded.  Went back to our dorm and cops were there because some kid was passed out drunk in the middle of the hallway.  The cops stopped us on our way to our room.  One of the cops said as I walked by "Why don't you tell me about that guy you just knocked out?"  I was really drunk and couldn't figure out how the eff he knew that so soon or that we were involved.  In hindsight, I had on a white baseball cap and an orange polo.  I was pretty muscle-bound at the time.  My friend was wearing a maroon shirt and he is black and had cornrow braids at the time.  The two of us together was a pretty easy apb descripto.  Anyway, I got arrested and they charged me with felony aggravated battery.  I had to do two weeks in county jail and 300 public service hours and two years of probation to get it dropped down to a misdemeanor conviction.  I also had to pay several thousand dollars to the other guy's insurance because he had to get a CAT scan or MRI or something plus stitches and of course the ambulance ride.  County jail was a very interesting experience (many stories and really not bad at all except for the food), but the whole situation took almost a year to resolve and it was very stressful with the felony hanging over my head.  I would have gladly let them talk all sorts of crap on me and just walked away had I known what I was in store for.  Being a badass is for dunces.

Great story, glad you got out of trouble.  I was actually thinking about also starting a jail thread. I'm just getting caught up with the thread but I'm guessing this will be the best story.

I guess I should answer these....

1. Have you gotten into a fist fight as an adult? Not exactly... Bounced and worked in the bar biz until I was 23. Never counted those as "fights".

2. When was the last fight you saw in person? Can't remember... probably a bar here in KC within the last year.

3. Do you say terrible things to other people and don't expect any possible physical retribution? No I don't.

4. If someone kicked your ass one-on-one would you call the cops on them?  No

5. Would you fight someone simply because of what they said about you or a loved one on the internet? If so has his ever happened on goEMAW.com? NO

To me if you call someone a bitch or a pussy you should be prepared for that person to prove you right or wrong. I hate that the internet has given people license to say things to others they would never say in person. Even worse is when these people are confronted they hide behind calling other an "internet tough guy." -  If someone called me a bitch or a pussy to my face I wouldn't "fight" them. I don't get worked up about the opinion of others.  Words... they're just words.

Bouncing could count as a fight depending on what went down. When I was in college my roommate was a bouncer at Rowdy Trouties. At closing time these country ass dudes, 5 of them, were acting like rough ridin' idiots and they wouldn't leave. My roommate was being patient with them but they were becoming belligerent.  One of the guys poured, not spilled a beer on a pool table. My roommate was 5'10" 300# and carried this guy outside. When they got there all of his buddies swarmed him so he started swinging and I came from behind and started punching whomever I saw. That was absolutely a fight.

If it were one-on-one I wouldn't do a damn thing, that old man could have done some real vile crap that you didn't know about.

Also clarification for #4. I just mean a 1-on-1 fight, not getting jumped, blindsided, or robbed.

Important story, bread.

I would not risk my health, financial, or legal status to prove some point to a stranger talking crap.

I would fight lots of people if getting arrested wasn't going to happen. I think people on the internet and irl act out of pocket because there isn't a real credible threat to get beaten up. I have a real issue with people who act like assholes and I feel like its really easy for people to treat others like crap, wouldn't be the case if you were afraid of swallowing your teeth.

I very nearly got into a fight in OKC with some gE elites. These dudes were absolutely looking for trouble and we would have worn them out, but these are the dudes who start fights and then call the cops after they get their asees kicked. I don't need an arrest record.

People getting jumped is the absolute worst, I really don't understand that and I'd be afraid of killing someone if I were a part of a group beating on one person.

Also your friend calling you a pussy is far different from a stranger calling you one.

Not really. Who cares if a stranger calls you a name?

People getting jumped is the absolute worst, I really don't understand that and I'd be afraid of killing someone if I were a part of a group beating on one person.

Also your friend calling you a pussy is far different from a stranger calling you one.

Not really. Who cares if a stranger calls you a name?

Except it kind of is different. But whatevs.
