Sure if we're going the "hur hur Omaha hur hur" otherwise Creighton is inarguably better in every other way. The only one of those programs that has won more recently is Gonzaga but Creighton plays in a bigger, nicer arena in front of nearly 3 times as many fans, yes three damn times. Creighton is also in a better conference and in a better city than Creighton. They are both private Jesuit schools. One was sought after to join the Big East the other begged in and was mushed. I literally can't think of one thing that makes Cincinnati and LSU better than Creighton. crap LSU doesn't even play in a better basketball conference, the Big East has 4 less teams yet managed to get more bids than the SEC, and it's not like that's some freakish anomaly, the Big East is unquestionably a deeper league.

I feel like you guys are either trolling or are really stupid

I'm not bullish on Creighton's future under McNeck. Altman had mondo success there, but it easily could've been a case of him being a good/ the right coach at the right time.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Altman built a solid program at Creighton. McNeck benefited from that as well as his own genetics. We'll see how he does post-Doug, getting Marcus would be a big help for his future though.

Just so I'm clear here, now the measurement, as of this particular argument apparently, of what a better basketball program is what national network your conference has a media deal with (for the record ESPN and ESPN2 are in 97 million homes, FS1 is in 90 million homes, and ESPNU and the SEC Network are in 75 million each; so it's not like were talking about the difference between ESPN and Root Sports Pittsburgh here), how much money your athletic department has but the amount of resources used for basketball is irrelevant, and whether or not you made the tournament this year without regard to what you have done the previous decade.

Guys LSU finished 11-7 in the super hard SEC, lost 3 of their last four to juggernauts names Tennessee, Auburn, and NC State, but they're a kick ass program because they made the tournament for the first time in six seasons. Celebrate good times, come on!!!

I'm not saying LSU or Cincy is better than Creighton due to one tournament appearance, just that none of those programs are so far beyond the others.  Zags are head and shoulders above the rest.

In order from how well I think the teams will be that he could transfer to:

1. Gonzaga
2. Cinci
3. LSU
4. Creighton

I mean, if you project what these teams are bringing in and where they were last year, I feel like that's hard to argue. I don't care how good Creighton was when they had their coaches son. All these programs would be a good fit for him tho.

The bottom line is that it is stupid to think that Marcus, or anyone else for that matter, picking Creighton over LSU, Cincinnati, and Gonzaga means the other offers were pulled or are conditional.

Zags are head and shoulders above the rest.

For a kid from Texas that previously played in the Big 12? I'd put them last. The other schools have landed players similar to Marcus, Gonzaga hasn't. They either don't recruit or don't land players like him.

I'm just glad I had the opportunity to use the term McNeck.

Gonzaga has players transfer in all the time. Just in the last couple of years Eric McClellan (booted from Vandy), Kyle Wiltjer (from Kentucky), Byron Wesley (from USC), and Angel Nunez (from Louisville) have transfered to the Zags.

I know they have players transfer in, when I mentioned recruiting I was discussing high school recruits. Getting transfers actually fits what they do quite well because I don't think they get a player like Marcus out of high school, they are great at the open box specials.

"open box specials"  good one MIR.

I think all of the speculated destinations could be good for Marcus, hope he finds a home that he can have a great finish to his  career.

And? I don't think I ever said anything about LSU and their ability to get recruits with relation to Creighton did I? Certainly you aren't contending LSU is a better program because they got a better signing class?

They're both white. I don't know much about the dude other than he was crap at ISU, good at Creighton, now possibly crap again. There are lots of crap coaches can't think of another I'd compare to oscar oscar.

Same. If he gets immediate eligibility, which he won't, Gonzaga will be preseason top 5 with returning Karnowski and Sabonis
