I just don't see Currie doing this. There is no way he fires his guy after one bad year. I know it's been beat to death on this blog, but it is true.

Well after that crap last night, I would be disappointed in him if he didn't.  oscar practically dared him to transfer.  Though maybe oscar knows Mr. Currie won't let him.

With the stunt of pulling Marcus out of the promotional stuff, I'm not sure the AD is really going to go to bat for Marcus.

I'm just going to assume the whole AD has bought into oscar's narrative.

he could dribble with both hands and was fairly athletic with a decent looking shot, so yeah for kstate at the time he looked pretty amazing.

Remember last year when everyone was amazed at the find Weber had in the "overlooked" Marcus Foster?  Could it be that other teams passed on him because of his personal issues, including negative influence in the locker room, and learned that by doing their homework?

Could be that oscar didn't do his homework, or knowingly took on a player that would have a team cancer effect? 

Consider it tuckish if you like, but you'd have to be pretty narrow-minded to discount the possibility.

Doesn't this kind of thing get brought up on recruiting sites. You can read a lot of negative stuff about high school recruits. Also, his high school coach always praised him.
I just think it's Weber a. selfishly not wanting a star to take away all his luster, or b. marginalizing his best player to deflect blame for a  crappy season.

Other teams passed on him because he was hurt and then he was fat mostly I think.  Everyone, save maybe some bluebloods, will want him this time around.  There probably isn't a single high major coach out there right now that doesn't earnestly believe that they can reach and relate to players better than oscar Weber.  No one will be deterred because oscar failed.

I didn't get to watch and only got to listen to the game for a bit last night, but Wyattvision and Stan didn't paint a good picture of Foster's effort.  Maybe their just part of the narrative that the athletic department wants to get out there about Foster.

It's because the coach recruits his players and gets paid millions of dollars per year to manage talent, while the players are just trying to get an education and maybe get to play basketball for a living after college.
