Hey, Haverhill!
« on: November 01, 2013, 07:13:09 PM »
I just realized we play you guys in a few weeks, how's your team looking this year? Do you still have a million transfers?

Do you think we'll beat you @ISU? I don't know crap about your team other than you lost to OSU in the tourney and blew that Kansas game last season. Do you still have the George guy who tries to put an "s" and the end of his name? What's his deal? Foreign? Stupid parents?

Thanks in advance.

Melvin Ejim is out until Mid-December so I'd give Michigan the nod. The game is in Hilton tho. Should be good.

Mitch McGary is likely out too, so there.

I'm really not sure what to expect from this years team, Robinson/Stauskas/McGary are nice pieces but how well do they play without Burke and. Hardaway creating for them? I don't know, good question.

We did bring in a couple of highly rated freshman, so we'll see, but I wouldn't expect them to see a ton of minutes that early in the season, especially on the road. Beilein typically likes to bring them along slowly, so you can expect tons of Spike Albrecht the "try hardiest" PG in the country, and slayer of superstar poon.

I don't think Spike tries quite as hard as Will.

He's like 5'10 and slow, had no D1 offers before we swept in, his name is Spike.  :dunno:

Guys, let me know when Will "the thrill" Spradling savages Kate Upton's nether regions.

Seriously, let me know immediately after that happens, and only then will I even bother having this conversation.

Stupid parents.

The dude is from West Des Moines.  His dad runs a pottery studio in the outlet mall next to the movie theatre.

A back issue, I guess. It's apparently "not an injury" but they've held him out of practice until doctors can confirm it won't be something that lingers. He's supposed to get cleared for practice this week, but won't actually play in games until Duke in December.

I'm sure it'll be an ongoing thing all season that continually pisses me off and hurts the team.

He's our only big that's any good, though. Morgan/Horford are just big bodies who can occasionally grab some boards, but they're worthless on offense without Burke feeding them wide open dunks.

We'll play a small lineup against you guys, but that's always been Beilein's M.O. so it won't be something we're uncomfortable with. We're just a lot better with McGary and being able to mix in different lineups when it's appropriate.

ISU will be small as well. This will be two teams similar to Frank Haith's first team at Missouri... with better coaches than Frank Haith. First team to 100 wins?

See, that just shows that we are right about Will being try-hardier than Spike. Will tries. Spike does.

I mean, it's clearly a regional cover. I doubt only teams from Kansas appear on the national cover.

Also, this is the best thread this board has seen in weeks.

Don't care, KSU sucks.

Michigan, it should be a good game. I saw a lot of promising things from our youngsters. I would give Michigan the game, but anything can happen at Hilton because of the massive amounts of magic. GO IOWA STATE.
