Could he transfer back for the 2015 season?  Like graduate from McNeese next year and then do the 5th-year grad thing to come to KSU for farm science or whatever?

He should go to McNeese St.. Their starting QB graduated this past season and they finished the season ranked in the FCS Top 10. They also open the 2014 season in Lincoln.

Southeastern LA was also Top 10, but they return a really good QB who transferred from Oregon. Other FCS options are Grambling, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, and Southern.

Southern is pretty good too and their QB graduated, but SWAC schools don't play in the FCS playoffs.

As a one-time southland conference football "expert" McNeese is absolutely the best choice for him. Best football program (by a rough ridin' mile), best players around him, best chance to get to the league out of any FCS school in Louisiana. That program's got some history and was kicking the Southland's ass for a while. It still could.

McNeese is solid, yes.  However, SE Louisiana is still the prohibitive favorite to repeat as champs again this year.  However, just as _Fan said, they return the conf POY as a Sr QB.

Sam Houston could also be a good choice as they just hired Keeler who was largely considered one of the top 2-3 FCS level coaches before leaving Delaware 2 yrs ago.   Although the bearkats lost 15 seniors, I have no doubt that Fritz left the cupboard well stocked.

I keep commenting that D didn't break the story and linking to sd tweet giving the goodbye that signaled it was done, and they keep deleting it.

Lack of brain power was Sams undoing Reply

Maybe he wasn't intelligent enough to discern the playbook and nobody wanted to bring this point out into the light. There are many athletes like this who show wonderful physical ability but can't get on the same page after page after page. So they escape the called play by improvising. I believe our coaches simplified the plays for Daniel  to run at least 800 plus yards. This transfer will put the eye on Ertz to produce when called upon. Daniel's leaving may very well be an addition by subtraction.

 :sdeek:

I wonder if that guy has any clue just how big of a racist one has to be to get called out for racism at GPC?!?!

I will absolutely road trip to McNeese St. games with Daniel's mom. I will volunteer to drive and I will pay for all gas and let her have the majority of my elite road trip snacks and she can pick the radio stations and everything. All I ask is that she lets me celebrate with her after touchdowns.

I'm still sad
I feel like someone ran over my heart with a Winnebago

We should probably make time for a hug this week. I could really use it and I think you could too, friend.

You are a good friend. I need one (if not two).

two hugs in a row?  or one when you first see each other, then you sit down and eat lunch and chat, then hug again?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

This might be a two hugs in a row occasion. Those are very rare.

I agree. He can make decisions but he's not built to do that slow-to-develop power run.

But we've got to run some power to set up the run action seam route.

I don't think this is going to work anymore.  It worked last year even with Waters because teams spent all week preparing for the QB power.  Now without Sams to prepare for I don't know why teams would even worry about defending that play.  Jake can run it and pick up a few yards here and there but he can't just line up and beat you with it like Sams could.

Tons of people look like that that also suck at football.

Not saying Daniel was lazy, or bad at football. I was sad the second we signed Jake. Because I feared it would play out like this. Well maybe not the transferring. I'll reflect in a few years and compare to Beasley to Waters. I remember wanting Ell so hard and not appreciating Jonathon.
