Pete is probably tracking at #1 in this thread right now.

I've heard Ertz is killing it, too, but I can't remember exactly where I heard it. I honestly don't follow as close as I used to.

This says two things to me, which are probably summations of others, but I guess I concur:

1) The coaches (right or wrong) think highly of Ertz and we know they're gaga over Delton, as they should be.

2) We are probably a lot deeper at WR than we originally thought.

I'm pretty bummed.  Daniel had a lot of potential in a number of positions and scenarios, and we never took advantage of it.  After how Waters finished, I'm not mad that he's the #1, but Pete is really right; this turns up the heat and he better deliver.  No cocky bullshit talk.

This puts us in a bad spot in 2015. We probably need to go JUCO now, but I have no damn clue what's out there.

All of this. I think we need to get this Arkansas stud for 2016 who is all EMAW and look around the juco market but I'm told we should feel comfortable with Ertz after two years waiting on the sidelines.

Again, hate to see Daniel go and we should have made it work. I wish Jake's over the top work ethic and time commitment would have pushed Daniel to match his intensity there. Few people, definitely not Jake, possess the tools that #LIFE does.

Pretty sure Ertz has already red shirted. Also, heard that Ertz is the number 2 and has been killing it. Still sad though :(

Really?

I am probably wrong, but I swear I thought I heard that Huebner was tracking ahead of Ertz.

In either case, we probably have Dylan Meier parts 2 and 3 there.   I say start the Freshman next year.

.......And, is it crazy to think that maybe, just maybe this staff might have been thinking along those lines?!?  Yes.  Yes, it is crazy.  I want to apologize to each of you.  I get a little carried away sometimes.

Ertz was the perceived #2 before the spring game and after the Spring Game public sentiment anointed Hubener the #2.

Carson Coffman was amazing in Spring Games.

Also, Carlos Alsup.

*i know you're just stating public sentiment and not supporting it, or at least didn't imply support.  I'm just refuting nameless people that are pro-Huebner at #2.

Huebner was a pleasant surprise, but Ertz is pretty damn good.

So it takes Jake like twice as long as Daniel to learn and put in their work each day.

Worst post I've ever read on here.

Actually, 2nd worst. The worst was definitely the one wishing JW to break his spine.

Why should the dumbass who comes in at 6am and leaves at 8pm be praised when I can do just as much from 8-5?

So who's the next most popular sports figure and when will KSU get rid of him (OR HER!)?

Waters is better than that, man.

Just because the coaches didn't know how to use Sams doesn't mean we have to hate on Jake.  He really did do very well at the end of the year,

Doesn't Snyder want to shorten the game? Seems like a bit of irony that the players that make the day longer get more playing time in a shorter game.

Either the coaches are completely incompetent/hated #life, or Jake actually had a better grasp on the playbook. Even in the run game the playbook was pretty limited for #life. Doesn't mean that Jake was a better option or that #life was a slacker, it just means that the extra work paid off for a less talented player.

we'll be fine, btw

I think not have Sams at least as a change of pace wildcat back and another thing teams have to plan for could cost us a game or two.  There will be a few games where Jake is off, Tyler won't be able to break loose, and we won't have anything else.  Having Daniel to try something new could have won us 1 or 2 of those games.  Something along the lines of the TCU game last year.

we wouldn't have used him that way tho, so did we really lose anything?

Yeah waters looked just great against ku.  99% of this offseason waters hype is based upon a pretty good game against a God awful Michigan defense.
