We have 9 new starters on defense, have played what is likely 2 top 50 teams and managed to hold everyone under 400 yards. The big 12 offenses, outside of OSU and Baylor, appear to be the worst they've been in years.

I think our defense ends up being an average big 12 defense and we end up being an average big 12 team. Comparisons to tibesar and Ku have to either be thinly-veiled trolls or the rantings of a collection of mindless retards, because the ignorance is that astounding.

50% few interceptions than his avg.  Getting a little better each day.

Well, if you're looking at simple stats, that's really the only the only major difference between last year and this year.  As hard to believe as it is.

I expected our defense to be depressing, but Waters has legitimately made me sad about the cats. He just seems like that perfect kind of losery that a segment of our fans (and apparently our coaches) will defend. That easy 19-yard run was my least favorite play of the entire season.

Yeah. Jake has been our defense's worst enemy all year long. I just don't see the point in criticizing them after a performance where they scored a TD and only allowed points on a single 30 yard drive.

If you want to be proud of our "bend but don't break" D for only giving up 7 points, fine, but they bent plenty against rough ridin' UMass. Quality teams won't just break our D, they're going to do unspeakably horrible things to it.

Anyway, against UT the formula has to be run run run. Does Snyder start Sams?

Our defense isn't exactly setting the world on fire, but I haven't seen anything to suggest that they are that much worse than last year's team, who gave up 21 points to North Texas. They are mediocre, which is better than I feared they would be coming into this season.
