He'd probably be compared to collin klein more I guess, which wouldn't be a good look.
Will Jake call the next cats QB on the telephone? Stay tuned.

If it were up to me, Wintz would be on a fan scholarship, full ride.

Yes, despite zero help from the RBs and a dropped TD pass.

Charles Jones not being 100% kills our run game. Jake also not pulling on reads was hard to watch. Out O-line is garbage when it comes to run block for designed handoffs. Has there ever been a team that's so awful in run blocking but so good in pass blocking? Waters has had time to throw the whole year
WTF do you want, a O-line like the start of last season.  This is a very good O-line for what they need to be doing.  Jake had an average of 5-8 seconds to pass, when most NFL O-lines give a QB about 3-5 seconds.  I swear you dwebs need to stick to the BB board, and maybe you'll come across as someone with sports intelligence.  What a bunch pussy mocking birds around here.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Kimmy, you are so full of crap you may need a powerful laxative to clear you out.  I suppose you were to busy complaining about our pro QB style of play to listen to Horsewoman talk about what a shitty mistake prone team play they had.

These threads are funny. Jake Waters is streaky during every game, this is why we all argue about him being good or bad, because he does both.

Bad Jake becomes "footsteps" Falco to me.

wacky, you need to stop bringing up Sams.

Waters isn't always a pretty player. I think he's a more effective QB for K-State than most on this board, but there are many facts about his career here that are not disputable and I won't dispute those. I think the back and forth about him is often stupid, but its part of the position. I like being a fan of a team that is pretty good; maybe not great, but pretty damn good. I think Jake has played a significant role in that success.

If he beats Baylor his legacy will be that of a conference champion that ended his senior season beating a top 5 team on the road. His legacy is not yet set.

What's crazy is that Jake was starting to appear on Heisman lists the week before the TCU game. They don't mention you there if you are subpar that late in the season. You reverse the outcome of the TCU game and we are in the top 3 and Jake is in the top 3 for Heisman. Crazy what one bad performance can do to a team and one player's rep.

Yes yard dog, excellent point that when you get your dick kicked out the back of your ass people look at you differently.

Here's where I'd rank the QBs in my time paying attention to KSU that started a large number of games:

Bishop
Klein
Roberson
Freeman
Beasley
Waters
Coffman/Gregory combo
Meier/Webb combo

Well to be fair, some wanted Klein to sit over Sams (@trim, did I do that right?).

This advice sd and others have given you repeatedly -

You need to get Sams out of your head wacky. He's gone. Let it go.

- include me w/Sams.  It's been over a year.  I'm not coming back.

For those that have seen enough, probably just don't watch these next 3 games.  It's a near certainty they'll be boring, uneventful and inconsequential.

I didn't forget him but don't know if he started enough games to qualify. I'll lump him with Coffman.

You could probably talk me in to putting Waters ahead of Chad May.
