I wonder how many parts the same type of story would be if it were ku basketball??

Part 1:  Our best friend Doug.

Part 2:  A multi-million dollar ticket scam/money laundering operation?  Who knew?    :dunno:  (aka:  what's in the envelope Brady?)

Part 3:  We kept the Morris Twins eligible for 3 years.

Part 4:  Barnstorming:  The Post Senior Season payoff

Part 5:  Walk-on's:  White, rich, generally bad at basketball and your new roommate

Part 6:  We had no direct contact (but an agent did).

I can't believe I clicked that link. I believe I may have lost a few brain cells trying to cipher out some properly worded sentences amongst all that nonsensical, terrible excuse for journalism. Yuck.

So I've read most of these articles and my question is why OSU ? Surely they can find a bigger fish to fry,  also most of these statements all appear pre-Gundy.

The part about recruits banging chicks being a scandal is hilarious. But secretly recording interviews is just a great twist and my primary interest at this point.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

apparently thayer is an ou fan. i believe an outline said they wanted to find a program that had made a rapid rise.

it would be fine with me if nothing came of this except les miles getting banned.

Maybe it's been said in this thread already, but I think I understand what's going here. Thayer is a T-Shirt OU fan that went to a private college in Bartlesville, OK. He's super pissed OSU is pretty damn relevant in college football now, has lots of shiny things, and wants to tear them down. It'd be like K-State Basketball doing great things and a Friends University grad that can't hide his KU stickers, getting a gig with a high visibility mag and tries to destroy our program, or at least make it look shitty.

the actual series from SI is pretty much the only uninteresting thing about this whole story

Orange Pride

An organization that donates their time and efforts to assist with Recruiting for Oklahoma State and the Football Program.

It will be a very exciting year! We have a wonderful staff and look forward to another great recruiting season next year! Being a part of Orange Pride is a huge responsibility. You will be required to attend and work each home football game for the 2013 Football season, raise $300.00 in sponsorship money, attend weekly meetings, and work recruiting official visits, Junior Days, Coaches Clinic, etc.

http://www.okstate.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/orange-pride.html

this years crop, much better and after everything thats come out this week i laughed that this is what is on the schools website

someone should tell them they can raise more than $300 if they'd start charging for the handies.
