This is a blue print of what we need to implement.

I second this!

I love how Whitlock is just destroying this when he pretty much implied that he had no intentions of ever reading the story.

What I am enjoying is the group of people who are believing every word of that story while believing that the same thing doesn't happen inside their favorite college sports program.

I'm surprised by how many former players SI got to talk.

OSU would be a great "set an example" program for the NCAA as well.

I think even OSU is too big. Nothing will come of this (major).
you guys do realize that they fairly recently placed sanctions on USC, Ohio St and Penn St, right?

this whole "too big for the NCAA" is stupid. maybe in basketball, but they've proven they'll issue sanctions to anyone in football. the main issue is there's absolutely no rhyme or reason as to who they punish and how hard.
"Son. This is why we are wildcats. Hard work, pride, the heart of this country. And if that's not enough for you, you can just move to California with your punk friends."

I would say as long as the ppl mentioned in the story are countering the story, the NCAA won't do much.

Fair points on USC and Ohio State. Penn State is kind of an entirely different category though.

USC: Essentially told the NCAA to go eff themselves with their internal report. NCAA sanctioned them out of spite
Ohio State: Actual emails where Tressel basically said IDGAF about the NCAA. NCAA sanctioned them out of spite
Penn State: covered up decades of child rape

As long as OSU plays ball with the NCAA they'll be ok. If they try and hinder the NCAA's "investigation" that is when things look bad for them.

I hope we will do this stuff.  I hope we haven't been doing this stuff.  Would kinda suck to find out that we have been pulling 2 and 3 star kids even after paying.

Looks like OU felt threatened by OSU's sustained success and decided to take them down.

^^^ Lead investigator/writer is an OU grad who cant stand that lil bro is on the same level as OU
They aren't on the same level

fwiw, osu fans have an extreme inferiority complex when it comes to ou, and the fact that a boomer sooner is doing all this is going to absolutely kill them.

This is almost as good for OU as that time that a construction worker on Stoops house showed up in an OSU shirt and Stoops fired him on the spot.

I mean, this story is a great burn and all, but let's keep perspective.

The only thing I really had a problem with as far as today's articles is "ghost jobs". I mean, had those guys actually had to perform the work, they would have been taken care of.  The pay for play model is a little sketchy, but it happens.  Having boosters help student athletes in need buy groceries etc and then condemning these kids is mumped up though.

Some guy at Pats last season was super sad when I told him I've never been to Stillwater but have been to Norman. Then he tried to convince me we're basically sister schools, and I was all "sorry but I have to go take a crap in Jimmy Johns"

So under normal assumptions money is the worst thing possible, but in this case it being day one of a 5 day release I don't think it is. I bet the crap that comes out is so embarrassing that Gundy gets fired and moves on to the NFL.

Money is the least of OSU's worries.  SI knows that it will build hype for the juicy stuff.

Brad posted earlier in regards to their attractiveness.  This just confirms it for me.
