So, I think it is safe to say they didn't cheat so well.  :dunno:

Didn't get caught until 5 years late and not one huge smoking gun* so they may not get in any trouble.

*yet

I think the scary thing is that there is just a ton of names, and I'm sure that they can start sniffing around some of those names to find current issues.

It's like they started sniffing around a money laundering scheme, got a hold of the books, and now there's no telling what they can find because there's so many names and you want to know why they were in the book to begin with.

Deleted my post because I was going to try to find a tweet from earlier today saying the same thing you did but in 140 characters.

I'm surprised by how many former players SI got to talk.

OSU would be a great "set an example" program for the NCAA as well.

I think even OSU is too big. Nothing will come of this (major).

Multiple small infractions is worse then one big infractions, with the current NCAA.

Just wait until they find the Artie Piscano of the whole operation.  Oh man, the NCAA will have all of the information they need then.

Looks like OU felt threatened by OSU's sustained success and decided to take them down.

^^^ Lead investigator/writer is an OU grad who cant stand that lil bro is on the same level as OU

If you did enough investigating you would probably find that 90% of schools do this, why did they pick on okie state?

I hope the drug part of the story is more exciting than the money, because if this first one is any indication the drug story will be about a few guys smoking ditch weed out of a pop can.

this is like the time all the journo dumbasses were hyping up the slam piece that Kent Babb was going to destroy Frank with and then he got scared and made it super nice.

initial interpretation of "slam piece" changes the meaning of this greatly

They didn't know there were going to be violations I don't think. It started as a piece on a team rising to the top so quickly. It was between OSU, Oregon and Boise

Thayer Evans' parents should be punched in the face for naming their child "Thayer."

Holy crap.  Boise should be scared to death.  Last one standing/not accused of rampant cheating.
