After the game I asked someone who would know, they smirked and said "he's fine, not the first time something like this has happened.  At first we thought he was joking because he has that type of sense of humor." 

That hit would have given most a concussion.  Just giving you some back ground to your "not sure a concussion would cause that kind if reaction" statement.

Yeah, the video shows that he hit the back of his head pretty hard. I've just been trained in concussions enough to know that convulsions/seizures are not something I normally think of as an immediate symptom of head trauma that leads to a concussion, though it can happen. It just usually seems like that type of seizure is from some other type of pre-existing condition.

My immediate reaction was not fear that the kid was in grave danger from head trauma, just that he was having a scary looking seizure. I've also seen situations where exertion/adrenaline can trigger a seizure in some people which was my immediate thought. However, this doesn't mean to say that the impact of his head hitting the turf couldn't have caused the seizure.

On the pussification of America and the desire to ban dangerous things:  I am pro-liberty, but I feel differently once I have to start paying for your lung cancer treatment and motorcycle injuries etc.  There has to be consistence: I can't bitch about the government telling me to wear a helmet but expect everybody to pick up the tab for putting my skull back together when I crash.  Just like those asswipes who want to go extreme mountain climbing but then expect the heli to come pick them
up when the crap hits the fan.

This is not an argument to continue the skit, just a reaction to comments in the thread.
