You realize that Iowa State is an away game? It seems like you don't because you reference "waking up an hour earlier" and some scenario where I roll out of bed and walk to Aimes.
Yes, I also saw where you had no intention of attending yet somehow your "fan experience" would be worsened.
But since we are apparently speaking in generalities about 11am starts/national television/fan convenience....
I absolutely agree that televising games on national TV is a benefit! It is also the top priority considered by the decision makers at the conference and school. That is the necessary evil of BCS football today. But can we at least acknowledge that something is being lost here?
Shitty football in a conference dominated by Nebraska and OU?

The 11am start is nowhere near as egregious as the (TWO!) Thursday night games, which are a serious inconvenience for the vast majority of fans attending that game, but there are always going to be winners and losers on these things and my preference would be to not inconvenience traveling fans. Keep in mind, that a large number of season ticket holders to K-State don't live within walking distance of the stadium. It is ok if I think of them when I say that lots of people would be inconvenienced.
Yeah, I get that. How would you feel about playing every game in Arrowhead? That would increase the convenience factor for an awful lot of Cat fans.
*sorry for the strawman*
But there is only 1 Thursday night game a K-State that doesn't live within walking distance has to make plans for. And they have what...six months to plan for that game? IT'S ONE DAY OUT OF 365 AND YOU HAVE SIX MONTHS TO PREPARE. If KSU football is important enough to you that you spend thousands of dollars a year for all the parking, tickets, gas, accommodations, etc., why whine about ONE DAY of inconvenience, ESPECIALLY when that day helps keep the product you hold so dear viable?
