okay so we have a decent secondary imo dante, evans, 1y, and kippy should be better with more speed than last year not to mention adorbs cre moore probably starting by conference play

mediocre to semi decent lb's depending on the nickel set in biscuits, slaughter, and truman (i see moore breaking out this year) this is probably our weakest spot but if tre is back to 2012 form we might be able to hide it

and a serviceable dline with a crap load of upside with brown, hood, britz, chaq and roberts.

CONFIDENCE RISING FELLAS

If there's one spot you'd be okay being weak at isn't LB it?  As long as the ends and the corners play we'll do alright.

why isn't "mongoloid" considered the most racist term in the English language?

I am not okay with being weak anywhere, that's unacceptable. But considering we will most likely have 5 db's out there for conference play i guess if i had to choose yes, lb would be the one like I said above you can hide a bit.

true but with how fast the game moves in this new hurry up quick out screen happy offenses you really need your lb's and corners to be fast and be able to contain. Its hard to get pressure these days with how fast the ball comes out. Hopefully Kip steps up like i think he can. I feel pretty good about our corners.

my biggest worry is if tre can move sideline to sideline with that knee

tre couldn't do that before the knee so I don't hold out a lot of hope

Have a lot of trouble thinking Dakorey Johnson will not be starting by confrence play. His length and speed should make him our best coverage linebacker, something you need in the BIG 12.

I propose we change all instances of "mongoloid" to "caucusoid".

You can not hide your linebackers. They are the most crucial part of a defense, DTs are close but your LBs are your defense.

Even with all the spread offenses, if you are weak where the ball is snapped everything else you try to do on defense will become FUBAR. You will still be exploited from the inside out.

Asking Evans to shed an OG a few times in a specific situation is fine, asking him to do it a lot, over the course of a game will be crippling.

HFBIQ'ers: Which of our linebackers, if any, has the best chance to be a possible Tuggle replacement (QB blitzer specialist guy)?

TIA

wouldn't be surprised to see Truman fill that role. won't be as good as Tuggle but he's quick and really strong for his size.
