All I keep reading is how we might be underrated and surprise people on D, but I squint and quint at that depth chart and just don't see it.  We're average to not very good at LB, DT, DE, and corner. Safety is strong. Even if AB was back for another year, I'd still say this is a middle of the pack D.

I'm pretty sure Snyder said Evans was going play both spots.  IE he'll play outside in one of the regular corner spots in the base set and play in the nickel inside spot in the nickel package.  David Garrett did the same thing the year before last.

I just looked up the roster pictures of all our defensive starters and I think we are in trouble.  They did not pass the eye test.  In fact they failed the eye test and then they had to take the all essay retake version of the eye test and they failed that too so they were allowed to just correct their answers for half credit and finally got a D+.

Well you could have said it in a nicer way but thank you for this perspective.  I hadn't really thought of it that way and I'm more optimistic now than I was.
