If you're into music there's way more to do in Nashville than KC. Everything else seems about equal.

My company has a six week limit to working internationally. I think you could just not tell anyone if you have a permanent US address though.

Nashville seems like maybe the most annoying city in the USA tbh

I like Nashville. It's pretty cool. Probably equally as annoying as any other Southern cities.

I rough ridin' HATE winter, which is why I spent almost all of last winter in AZ. The problem is my new job is EST hours so 2/3 hour differences are not something I wanna deal with.

go to argentina in the winters.  it's farther east so you can sleep in.

i have friends that are moving to patagonian chile from january - march (with a 1 year old!)

I'd consider Florida over The South and just embracing all the major weirdos down there. I've lived there before. It's, uh, interesting.

A bunch of vain, artsy country types. No thanks.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

mind blown
It's the best idea so far.

@sys do they call the December-March season winter even though it's warmer?

Yes.

I saw a good tweet like a week ago that I can't locate but it was essentially:

"summarizing my week in Nashville with 1 picture"

and then the picture was one of these hats, not like this exact one or anything but you get the idea. it was a good tweet.

The only times when I felt like I may have been a bit underdressed just in like normal public settings were in Nashville. Like, women in flowery dresses and heels just out and about. It's charming in a way, but I'm not really into putting much effort into my appearance.

There's a singer songwriter I follow who moved from Nashville to LA because he thought Nashville was trying to become too much like LA. Which kinda makes sense.

Their 44 year old mayor is the biggest crypto bro around. He's had several proposed initiatives centered around crypto.

Guys, there’s a LOT of context to this but SA is my #1 choice for a reason. Yeah I’m open to other places and the crypto bros is tempting but I could care rough ridin' less about hanging with crypto bros.

On the one hand, San Antonio is kind of crumby. On the other hand, you might like it. And if you've spent a bunch of time there and feel that you do like it, then welcome to the land of no state income tax (except you might still need to pay income tax?).

i dunno why really, but argentina just catches the imagination in a way chile fails.  chile probably has the better weather, though.

I like SA as a city. Other than last year it never gets that cold. There’s plenty to do. It’s got plenty of pluses outside of my lady friend interest.

Also all of my inner circle are married with kids. Full remote. Nothing tethering me to KC. If I’m gonna do something like this, now is the time.

Move to Austin, instead. Nice buffer between you and the lady. Way better activities. Closer to Spracne.

Because it's such a PIA for me at this point, I would only consider moving to a handful of places. Austin is one.

I've never been to SA. However, I say live where you'll be happy. If a fine filly takes you to SA, then enjoy!

Bigger nerds than me would need to confirm this, but I think you'd need to get a good reliable US based VPN to make it seem like you were in the US.
