Snyder's first Bowl was the Copper Bowl which is now the Bufflalo Wild Wings Bowl.  Glad to see KSU back to 1993 level.  Two decades of samelevelness.

Senseless post.

Yeah, I mean assuming this came from a squawk, KU was 5-7 in 1993 so I guess it's better to be at the same level than to digress?   :dunno:

KU should axe the football staff and see if the players can swim on their own.

KU kept Weis only because they just can't afford to keep riding the coaching carousel. They're gonna give Charlie one more year and pray that he gets them at least 4 wins so they'll have an excuse to keep him on through the rest of his contract.

On a related note, one if my KU buddies was telling me about how KU has approved major renovations to their stadium - now they just need to "finish" raising the money. I just smiled and nodded.

It's that goddam Grid Iron club that will be the death of KSU football, isn't it?

I think, per NCAA rules, that they actually can't fire Weis.  I believe they are still making payments to both Turner AND Mangino, in addition to active payments to Weis.  If that's the case, should the fire Weis and hire someone else, they'd still be paying Weis out of his contract, making that 4 Head coach salaries, which I believe you can't be paying more than 3 at any one point.

If you are incompetent enough to hire 3 failure coaches you should be allowed to pay them all the $$ you want.

I really like this idea, like on Varsity Blues in the second half.  Would watch

Didn't they quit at ISU?  If it were up to them they might just get back on the bus and go home.  Or get incredibly bombed at the Wheel.  I know what Sims would do

It really is crazy that coaches have figured out a way to get a huge payday for getting fired if they suck.

I'd say the athletic department agreeing to pay for the suckage is far more crazy.  "Hey best of luck to you in the future Coach Gill.  Oh about the rest of the money in your contract, we'll have it ready for you in 90 days!"

Suck ass = get paid in full within 90 days
Have even a hint of success = get paid in full in 3 more years

That's why Chad is begging to get fired.  I'm sure he'll fine a way before next season is over.

The whole thing was great, well except for the iso shots of Charlie's fat face and warts, and made me very jealous.
