Oh boy.    KSU up at #18 on The 20 Best College Campuses In The US.  That's gonna be a tough one to accept.

That has to be the top 20 campuses for farm humping, tho, right?  Not like normal campuses, right?  I mean, there is just no way we are elite at all the major sports, the popular and responsible decision for hs grads, and one of the top 20 campuses, right?  Just isn't fair if that is the case.

Not a surprise that another highly respected news publication regards the K-State campus as one of the best in the country, while completely ignoring lil bro down the road.  Higher enrollment, better campus, it's all part of being the Flagship University in the state of Kansas.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Obviously a flawed methodology.  Princeton Review, pfffft.  KU is a better university than Princeton, and they rate themselves the best campus in the US.   Case closed.

I don't understand why we have much nicer stuff than ku if we are so poor?   :dubious:
you mean to tell me bramlage is nicer than historical phog allen field house? best check that crap at the door limestone

I dunno but our football stadium is certainly a decade ahead of theirs
our basketball training facility is better
baseball is nicer
rowing, lol, win.
sportswise, we are in the SEC and they are the Big East
is anyone else weirded out by the number of metal bleachers their stadium has?  Its like a gypsy carnival setup where you could remove half their seating overnight it too many youngsters declared shenanigans on your rides and games.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

They stink so hard that they need metal to not absorb the stink.

Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois cannot stop farm humping.  When they do it I get the feeling it means something else, like something dirty and inappropriate.  OTOH, good old #15 is a Christian college that was also included on the list for Best Quality of Life, and is known for its balance of religious life and liberal arts academics.  eff yeah, Wheaton!
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Neck and neck with Harvard. We found our new rival guys! someone should call dillons, we could replace that late season scrimmage with a "Super school showdown" with the Crimson Bros out east.

they now only talk about football as it relates to their inflated sense of their basketball team  :frown:

Comparable football programs to KU basketball Post Rating (14 votes)
A thread on the football board got me thinking.

What is a comparable football program to Kansas.

Prestige, history, clout, winning etc.

Example:

If Duke is to Texas or Alabama then Kansas is ...

Oklahoma
Ohio State
Michigan
Nebraska

Idaho Vandals. Because they have the same attendance #s for football and basketball (Idaho has the excuse of playing in the same arena tho.) They play in an old(ish or at least it looks old) arena that seems like its always being renovated. People always talk about demolishing it and building something shiny and new but the $ and nostalgia keep them there.

Plus everybody knows Idaho is the Harvard of the North West.

Consider the redemption story of Tyler Patmon. He must believe he is in a dream.

36 games as a Jayhawk. 6 wins.
8 games as a Cowboy. 7 wins.

Sims is the easily the best threat on this offense. The only formidable threat that has kept some teams in the Big 12 honest for about a quarter or so.

I know they don't watch much football, but my god, give yourself some credit
