Hanni is easy to make fun of, but I think he’s probably a pretty good homer. I like to imagine him at the dinner table.

I never have to listen to him call a game, so my exposure to him is mostly just people like you guys talking about him. Obviously, the cornball, cheesedick schtick is not good. But I've heard his straight calls are not bad.

Hanni is absolutely terrible. And it's a shame because the guy he replaced was so good.

I've listened to lots of college pbyp and color teams . . . and the KU group are Top 10 homers.  Hanni is a spin doctor on par with those films they did during the Turner Gill era when during the course of the game they had you believing that KU was right in it until the very end, only to lose by 4 TD's with the game never in doubt.

A couple of months ago I went on 1 date with a young lady and asked her about her worst first date....

Her - "well this guy thought he was a big deal because he was an announcer for a local team"

Me - "So I'm kinda of a big sports fan, what team did he work for?"

It's a significant and much needed update. Makes the east side/original look even more out of place though (I get it was meant to be done in stages).
