Surely KUFBall will have their own stadium in Kansas next year.
Why did Kstate only finish 75% of their stadium?

Because that East side is a wasteland.
ZERO concessions in the upper deck.
Video board in the NE corner with burnt out pixels.
Death trap bleacher. Saw a tater almost fall to his death only to be saved by rolling several rows into some seated fans.
And the "beer garden" is a joke. What kind of football stadium doesn't serve booze throughout the stadium. They Make people say the pledge of allegiance before the game but they don't serve beer? Pretty unAmerican if you ask me.
If a tater ever gives you trash about our pending phase 2, just point and laugh at that erector set east side of theirs and know our stadium will soon be nicer. At least we'll have that.
A lot of pretty rich things in there given how just horrible their dump has been for decades.
Though I will say, in my first game at home in 5 years, I do wonder if we'll ever care to redo the east side, not for the erector set part but just like, it's the only thing that's a little "off" about the whole place. The new SEZ is nice but it feels like a cave compared to the WSC (which I got to spend the entire pregame in with my brother and spent about half the first quarter watching from the production booth).
The bleacher comment is actually, kinda accurate but in a different way for me. It's crazy how tight everything feels and I've sat in the seats I was in probably about 40 times over the years. I bet we never do anything as it would reduce the crap out of capacity but the amount of times I had to get up to have someone go by to go to the bathroom/get a drink/get food/ etc was constant for the entirety of the game save the 4th quarter. I don't think I sat longer than 5 minutes without someone needing to go by and having to get up for them. Like I get it happens but it was frankly at a level that it was downright distracting. My mom even made the comment it felt like a workout by the end, we probably got up for non-football game things about 40 times, and that isn't an exaggeration. NEZ just has so much more space and probably why I got used to not having to do that as often.
