I've got a couple ku friends and they're all talking about how they're going to put both sets of goal posts into their little pond when they pull off the upset. Honestly, I don't think I've seen them this excited or the confidence level this high since Miles's first year as a head coach. I was at that game in Lawrence too.


Personally, I think it's a good thing as we need them to actually be competitive in football if we ever hope to get ratings for this game up. The moneyline may be -9.5 but I everything I've seen this season by both teams indicates we win by +17.

I went to that game in Lawrence in 2002, and learned how brutal LHCBS actually is.  KU was on K-State's side of the field, trying to get into field goal range so they wouldn't be shut out.  Cats were playing 2nd and 3rd string players.  When KU had a 3rd down,  LHCBS subbed almost the entire defense with starters and crammed KU behind their line of scrimmage, forcing a punt.  He had absolutely no mercy on those poor Jayhawks.

This is absolutely correct. Not only did a 2002 SB live nextdoor to Bosz56, Hickman, and Buhl, I was also there and saw it with my own three eyes. What an hilarious day. The best oart is that when the defense subbed themselves back in, they actually didn’t force a punt. They forced a fumble two plays later, which they promptly recovered.

The box score on this game is hilarious. The quotes in this article are hilarious. The passive-agressive postgame talk Snyder did to Mangino is hilarious.
