Daniels hurt?

A KU fan I know said he hasn't fully practiced in a month because of a back issue. They all guaranteed he'd be ready to play tonight but might go into burn it down mode if he doesn't (sounds like he won't?)

A couple of the chucklefuck KU Twitter people who are self-ordained insiders think he's out for tonight. IF TRUE, NBD, as it's Mo. State. We can just roll that beautiful Bean footage. But we have Illinois in a week, and if this back issue has been lingering for a month+, I don't see how a couple days will make a difference

I don't understand KU choosing to play an ESPN+ weekday game. The home team gets to select game days and times when they get selected for ESPN+. I hope ESPN promised them a little bit more money for playing on Friday night on ESPN+

Yeah that is the only explanation I think. Either that or they’re worried about local fans not being around Saturday for Labor Day vacations.

according to my espn app, the mighty hawks play back-to-back friday games to start the season.

I'm glad that Jayhawks are playing tonight, because I probably wouldn't watch their game if it were tomorrow. And sitting Daniels is the smart move, even if he is healthy enough to play. No sense aggravating his back in a game that your backups should be able to win.
