But seriously, LL isn't going to Nebraska and Nebraska has no interest in him. He's barely been on the job at KU for a year, and he's only won 4 games against terrible teams. Don't get me wrong, I hope he is bringing back KU to respectability, because the state of the program since Mangino's last year hasn't been good for anyone. But let's not act like KU has miraculously qualified for a bowl game yet.

Now if that somehow does happen in year two, and Nubbs still hasn't picked a coach... watch out.

On why Klieman should go to Nebraska...

But Kleinman will never win a national title at kstate and he knows that although he won't admit it publicly. The reason I bring that up is because he won like four of them at the D11 level if I'm correct. He may want to eventually be at a program where he can recruit Elite talent and get the opportunity to win one at the P4 level. Nebraska will give him a much better chance at that than kstate ever will. Even if kstate ran the table it's a chance they would get left out just because they aren't the sexy name that ND/Bama/Ohio State/OU/UT are. They're not even on the level of Nebraska or Iowa nationally. And never will be. He also knows when CFB moves to the projected P2 Super conferences kstate will not have a seat at the table unless it expands over 50 schools', and I don't see that happening. KU is in better shape than kstate and we aren't even guaranteed a seat at the table.

Liepold really could build something very respectable at KU and have none of the pressures that exist at NU.

Agreed, however he’ll have to clear the hurdle of his staff members being hired away for better/higher paying jobs.  The OC is going to have plenty of schools wanting his services.  I was shocked how much Michigan State paid Hazelton, when they came after him.  I think Leipold has done a great job of retaining coordinators to this point in his HC career.

Andy Kotelnicki is one of the most sought-after OC's in the country.  Lance Lightpole's success is premised on the offensive scheme devised by Kotelnicki.  KU began winning at the end of last season because it took them all season to absorb the distinct scheme that Kotelnicki has designed.  They are now running it consistently and effectively. 

Final note:  I would bet that KU does not win 2 more games this season.  All offensive schemes compel an offsetting defensive scheme - everyone will copy what works to defeat KU.
