They have two high level RB’s that’s for sure, WR’s are nice too. It’s just too hard to get good OL transfers and developing the ones they can get takes 2-3 years.

Do people think KU is a bowl team this year or next year? That can’t be a real thing that people think.

I think next year is a tiny possibility if this qb turns out to be legit.

For seemingly the 20th consecutive year, the KBOR has approved the KU Memorial Stadium Renovation . . . placeholder, in the capital projects approval list for KBOR schools.

Sadly for KU, had they pulled the trigger even a couple of years ago, they would have saved themselves ten's of millions of dollars.  I supposed they could hope that the economic slowdown drops prices.

It’s either avocado toast or a stadium renovation.  Can’t be both.

Was having a realignment conversation with a friend and he said he knows of some people that are excited about how much they think UCF can take off in the new Big 12.

It made me look at their facilities and holy crap, their football stadium is exactly what KU should do. Metal bleachers, 45k capacity, cost like $50 million a few years ago (probably closer to $75 mill now).

Should probably carry this onto a different thread as well.. but uh, umm, have we talked about the UCF football stadium having a LAZY RIVER?!?!

No crap - quite a bit more than a couple renderings and a "Coming Soon" banner.  Talk about carpe diem:

All the football stuff towards the bottom.

The chatter I just saw is that it was a former UNT RB who was a youth football coach was shot and killed.   People are saying it was one of the Talib brothers, but nothing from any official source.

Haven’t heard any mention of a Talib. Sad story
Found this:

Mike Hickmon was the football coach for the South East Dallas Wolverines who was shot by former NFL player and North Dallas United coach Yaqub Talib. He and his brother Aqib Talib led the team. Local fire department responders performed CPR on their way out of the field

There’s apparently video floating around of lead up to the shooting.  Nice brawl among coaches and parents at a 9 and under game.

Yeah, but it doesn't show anything that would lead anyone to speculate as to who was shot or who was the shooter

Word on the street is that Aqib's brother was taken into custody last night, but I can't find any solid confirmation.

Right in front of the children, terrible for everyone involved.

The recent Talib-related conversation should be modded into the “Aqua Talib keeping it hood thread.”

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
