I really think there should be a conference mandate they at least make and effort and, you know, put some money into the program or face the cut in conference dollars. Football is the big feedbag for conference schools and here's KU putting no cash into that rat hole of a stadium and paying their coach the salary of a glorified assistant.
It's like when the Yankee et al complained the Glass family was pocketing all the money large market teams where forced to pay and doing nothing to improve the on-the-field product. It was only when that grumbling got loud enough did Glass hire Moore and start making an effort.

They can't spend more on fb.  Doing so will make them spend less on bb, costing them to become something less thatn what they are now, and doing that will lead to them losing the one thing they all pin 100% of their identity on and Bill would bolt to a blue blood or the NBA.

Had a nice time at the Hawks game yesterday. Parked 2 blocks from the stadium for free, tailgated all afternoon, and found three tickets to the game for free. Beak 'em!

In many respects, hawks games are cheaper than youth sports.

How much do they have to set aside for hush funds for bb player rape victims? Not even gE'ing here...how much money is wasted on their trash human beings that could be spent improving that dump of an excuse for a college football stadium.

Dead Hawk bounce?  :dunno:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Kansas just landed their first recruit for 2017.  Smart move offering him early before some of the big boys on his interest list get around to offering him.

Kansas football may be hurting now, but they won't be hurting in 2017 when this 5'9 DITR brings his 21" vertical to newly renovated (crosses fingers) Memorial Stadium.

Another freshman faces the tough reality that college isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Hopefully he can transfer to a school with a mediocre football program before it's too late and he ends up on the streets of Lawrence.

I hear McNeese St is a nice place to land. Known SEC powerhouse schools even fear to play them. This guy could do a lot worse, like playing for a Jacksonville St team that gets within one play of beating a known SEC powerhouse. My guess is he'll end up somewhere really shitty like Toledo, a team known for beating known loud mouths from the SEC.

Let's not laugh at their recruiting.
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008
