I talked with a KU fan today. I'm actually very polite in person so I kept it pretty light. Pretended I had a passing interest in KU making some marginal improvement. I couldn't resist taking a small dig at their facilities. I asked "You guys got rid of the track, right? But have you changed the seating configuration to move the seats closer?" He responded "No, that's what they're working on now. We've got a ton of rich donors" and he then proceeded to NAME them. I could tell he had rehearsed the list often -it was almost like some sort of soothing mantra for him.

The kicker was, after he finished the list, he said "we just need to get some wins to get the donors to buy in."

Yes, Jayhawks, that's the rub...

On pace for 719 if they kept the throttle down.

This program is so messed up and the first 2 weeks of the David Beaty regime have showed it is what it is, an inexperienced coach, an ill-prepared team, an undisciplined team, with a bunch of retreads on staff and stupid crap like the coaches dancing with the players before kick off on the sideline. But hey, coach speak abounds.....he's not Charlie Weis!!!

And oh, CWO-Know Nothing I don't have any sisters. So nice try, 4 win boy.

Remember this all KU fans who wanted him gone, you're 12-50 since he left. Hope you are enjoying being a laughingstock.

There offense does seem to be a little better than it has been in the last 5 years. Defense is young and inexperienced. If they had the defense of last year they win their first two games.

Went to a family gathering last night. The KU contingent now has two people who actually want to school there, albeit you really have to expand the term 'extended family' to get that second KU attendee.

They were talking basketball by mid 2nd quarter and had abandoned the game entirely by halftime. I found another TV and consistently checked in on our Jayhawks, while checking out other games. Was joined by others, including an uncle who likes both MU and KU, and so I just play along. Great evening.

4 win boy lol...they do seem overly optimistic about Beaty after these first two games. I really haven't seen any progress from last year but I guess I'll take their word for it.
