So I go lurk and there's a lot of funny stuff. Lot of conspiratorial stuff about how Brownback and friends have it out for KU and throw everything they can at K-State. I mean nothing says you get everything you want like having to finance almost every net new facility project out of your own pocket. $300 million in new construction going on at K-State right now and the state tossed in a few coins to pay for a little of the engineering expansion, otherwise about $200 plus million in private money and about $70 million in bonds that K-State Housing is responsible for paying off. I understand the new Geo-Sciences Building and Seaton Hall project will also all be private money.
I also enjoyed how if the schools were privatized it would kill K-State. Yeah, a school that derives about 18% (and dropping) of its total funding from the state would get killed off if privatized.
Never stop Phogistan.
