I remember in 2000 after some difficulty people started pulling heavy ropes and chains out of their pants.  Like they went into the game fully prepared for this kind of destruction.

KU should replace with vertical laser pointers.  Less expensive.  Just look for a laser to hit the bottom of the ball.  Try tearing down a laser beam.
