Coach Bowen realistically needs to win 2 games to keep the head coaching job. Sure, ISU is winnable, but after that they face TCU, OU, and KSU. They are going to lose those 3 games by a combined 200 points. Bowen would be better off sending out flyers to be somebody's defensive coordinator next season than he would gameplanning for ISU.

My friend, C. Sense, let me know that KU fans probably weren't interested in paying $70 a ticket to watch that game.

I did just receive an email as a season ticket holder that more KU game tickets became available and I had dibs before they released them publicly.

 :sdeek:

Nearly half of the sections don't even have tickets available. They have stopped even trying to sell their tickets on Stub Hub.

50 yd line seats are 31 bucks. i mean thats 11 dollars more than parking for us, 31 dollars is a solid concession trip/trips at good ole ksu. we are pretty blessed folks

Nope.  HCPR is going to put a boot on their neck as per usual.   :Carl:

But that's what we all thought last year and they proceeded to destroy KU.  Also, ISU beat Iowa, showed well against Texas (tied 45 all late in the game), and almost beat us.  In fact I think we were fortunate to win that game.  Sure they were blown out by OU last week, but I think ISU is very capable of playing well, especially against the likes of KU.  Just my  :th_twocents:

So, more stuff coming out at UNC, articles in various state papers, and discussion on regional sports radio.

In looking at the timelines it occurred to me that a certain KU chancellor was heavily involved in oversight at UNC during periods of heavy fraudulent academic activity, with one suspect department at UNC falling directly under her purview.

That may be so, but the last thing we want at KU is some sort of shakeup.  They are already sinking their own ship, we need to just keep our mouths shut and let them sink it.  God forbid they bring in someone competent at something.

One consideration is that BGL was either extremely incompetent in not knowing what was going on in a department that at one time fell directly in her management structure . . . or that she was extremely competent in  not only keeping what is turning out to be an incredible level of academic fraud on the down low, but subsequently parlaying "successes" into a pretty sweet academic gig.

It's pretty apparent that the average Phogistian really doesn't understand that the "Carolina Way" resided in Lawrence for nearly two decades and that their current coach was tutored in the "Carolina Way" as an assistant to Larry Brown.    Couple that with the "godfather" days of yore and you've got a healthy environment of malfeasance at a substantial level.

Props to them for the relative minor hand slaps they've received over the years.   I've said it before that Larry and Bill are/were great in the sense that you knew/know they are/were up to no good but they carried a certain air about them, sort of mob like.  Meanwhile Roy was more in the Dean Smith mode in that he'd tell everyone all the time what a good clean program they had and all the "great kids" etc. etc.   Which was a bit nauseating.

810, just talking about the game this weekend.

The KU guys:  "Coldest game is Ames Iowa history!"
Grunhart:  "Field was hard as a rock and we didn't have the right shoes.  Now I'm not making excuses, but that's what happened."
