Jim was coming to KU until Zenger signed Turner, there is really no arguing this fact.  So I don't understand how it is impossible in your mind to think that it wouldn't be probable again.  To say that he has to openly show interest in the position when he clearly wanted it 5 years ago is very short sighted of you.

I thought Lew hired Turner?  :dunno:
they are rough ridin' bat crap crazy over there.........

Do they have a bus depot yet?  Residents should get rid of their cars and stick to mass transit.

Some of the articles make it sound like Lawrence is run by the same folks that many other cities are run by, giving developers massive tax breaks while hiking the taxes on everyone else.

Plus, it appears that parts of Rock Chalk Park in North Ottawa are already having issues with shoddy construction.

I do give them credit, by building that complex (or leasing it) in North Ottawa, way off campus.   They likely avoided having to meet on campus building standards and thus the subsequent bureaucracy.

Meanwhile K-State athletics is building on campus and thus turning over hundreds of millions of dollars in capital assets to the great state of Kansas.

he's kept them competitive.  what more could they ask for, they are right on par with Iowa State, there's nothing wrong with that if you're a ku fan.

I thought that residential and retail building the proposed looked nice.  But, I'm not very familiar with all this vast traffic congestion that they bring up in the story.

Competitive and not winning games is completely unacceptable.  No more moral rough ridin' victories.  We should be in the top half of the conference every year, anything less should not be tolerated.
