The dual bell-tower/flagpole things are a pretty recognizable element.  Always makes me feel like I'm pulling into Schlitterbahn, and I experience for a moment the excitement and wonder of my youth.

Folks, Strong Hall ) at ku is backwards.   What they use as the front, was meant to be the back, what is the back, was supposed . . . oh, you get the idea.

Even had the sense to skip the red roof.  Must have run out of the bulk sale common clay and they had to scrimp to buy up to the slate.  Worked out well visually, imo.

Whenever I see pictures of KU's campus, it just reminds me of all the drug and alcohol abuse that goes on there. Some dude getting head in an elevator, DUI's, and womens heads being bashed into sinks, shootings (the bee bee gun thing), etc.
