Spracne-
I'm not sure if you're dense or just plain ig'nant.  If you read the article top to bottom you would have stumbled across the paragraph that explicitly outlines how KU is partnering up with a multi-billion dollar Limited Liability Company, the City of Lawrence, and several independent retailers to design and develop a state-of-the-art residential and retail complex with 156 student housing units.  That's student housing units, and I don't think we're talking about Haskell students....  ?

I’ve started to kind of hate people, and it’s not because I have anything against them. It’s just, I enjoy it. It’s recreation.

Dude came out of nowhere and landed a haymaker.   I'm trying to decide if it was a sucker punch or not but, regardless, it was a huge blow.

That lady, though. What would you do with 600k?

Is there a picture that matches the area bottom one, but showing things as they are right now?

This is the best I could find.  I guess her house is to the right of those apartments?

Wow that's an ugly stadium.  Is that a D1 school?

It's better than ours according to the Phog.

Hope this is a joke. As a neutral visiting both stadiums, K-States campus was pretty stunning. Everything was clean. Loved the limestone everywhere and your stadium was top notch even when it was 120 degrees.

The only gleaming quality of KU's was Samantha Steele(now Ponder) in her silver dress working for Fox College Sports that night. The rest-from their fans, to the stupid track, crowded shuttle bus from the "tailgate" lot...very crap. Cant say much about their campus because all I see of it is a bunch of Red Roof Inns. And they weren't very gracious in their defeat, refused to point us back to where the Phog was because we were Bison fans. At least KState put on a fireworks show for us.

Looking at those steps in the article, I'd guess to the left.

 I genuinely thought for a second that maybe I was wrong, but I don't think that's the case. I think most of you are confused because of the use of the term "student apartments."  I could see how that might imply University involvement, but you don't have to look very hard to find examples where that's not the case.  Berkeley Flats, the apartments being demolished to build this thing, is also referred to as student apartments.  That's only because it is located close to the University and is inhabited predominantly by, you guessed it, students.

Is there some indication that KU is involved besides the use of the term "student apartments"?  Are the student ghettos also part of University Housing?

I'm super confused.   I thought we were talking about the basketball dorms.

We are not.  However, I'm not sure why this is being discussed in the KU football thread, anyway.  So the confusion is understandable.

Flood aggie's fault, also understandable.

Pretty neat apartment complex going up across the street from Memorial Stadium tho.
