I was just looking at some pics of Vanier from various sources, Twitter, K-State vendor websites and I realized that some schools like Baylor, Iowa State and ku, just got what we've had for nearly 20 years.

I mean sure their newer facilities are a little nicer than Vanier, but I just realized that we just did things like a $400K technology upgrade about 18 months ago, with interactive kiosks and displays, the Big 8 Room has a brand new video wall, and Bill's office for example is just flat out SWAG and it looks like we're just gonna rip all that $hit out and start completely over.   

My god, the hydro-therapy room alone was nearly a million dollars . . . but nope, we're just gonna tear it all out like a Boss and start fresh, and to think ku, Baylor, Iowa State.   They just got this stuff for the sole use of their football programs.

Yeah, I mean they finally caught up to us after nearly being 2 decades behind.  But we were just waiting to see what they did and then going to do something that's like a bajjilliion gazzillion times better.   Plus, you can't jump on it to quick because we just spent another truckload of money making some improvements on Vanier 5 years ago, and you don't want to upset faculty and stuff ya know. 

I mean yeah, I see why we're going to probably do something totally awesome, but still, that's a lot of relatively new and expensive stuff being torn out, but hey, that's just how we roll.

I suppose if we pretended kstate hadn't built the entire east side thing, BMW might have a point that memorial stadium was nearly as good as BSFS for like 36 months.  That's incredibly dishonest and all, but pretending... Hang a banner BMW.

It reminds me so much of the suites at Wichita Greyhound Park.  It closed in 2007 when the option of adding slot machines was voted down, but I just read that the owner would consider reopening it if the Kansas legislator passes a bill this year to allow slot machines.  If that passes, then perhaps KU would consider adding slot machines in Memorial as a way to boost attendance numbers.

I get that they needed to move the track.  But why not do what was in that master plan on here earlier?  You can still have the damn Kansas Relays there.  It's not like anyone really goes to them anyway.  I went back in college to watch a friend run, and I could have thrown a football and not hit anyone within twenty yards of me.

It's like KU just spent this money to give kick backs to the guy making the crap product.  I mean why in the Hell are you building something that sends three sports halfway across town?

I like this one. Could go on and say KSU was some guy who was the opposite, really buff legs but poor upper body (maybe injury, runner who never lifted, really don't know how it happened but that's not the point). Then they get some super stud trainer (Currie) who starts to turn their upper body into buff studsville and now starting to look a little like Ahnold
