They'll actually have pretty comprehensive surveillance under the guise of "security" that will allow the athletic dept to monitor what's going on, and will selectively make that available to law enforcement during criminal investigations, depending on the value of that particular athlete to the program. Justin Wesley does a rape, he's gone, the security video will be available for 90+ days. Perry Ellis (however unlikely) commits a rape, the story will be that the security video is overwritten every 24 hours and thus "not available".

That's cute, but alarming. I'd hate to see the Sunflower Showdown go away, but if KU starts talking about stadium renovations like they are a bad thing, nothing will ever happen and the Big 12 will probably kick them out.

Are there any rules or standards you have to meet to stay in Division 1, or are you fine once you are in? I've never heard of a school getting downgraded, but my goodness, I've never seen a program in as bad of shape as KU football is right now.

Let's just say they are extremely lucky that they are tied to our hip and Kirk "TSC" Schulz has so much clout with the NCAA.
