Wow, I usually go the the game in Lawrence every other year, but for some reason my mind keeps forgetting how awful that stadium really is until I see close up pictures. They really need to just tear it down and build a new one. The 300 mill or whatever the hell amount they're able to beg, borrow, or steal, is going to be wasted trying to clean up that dilapidated wreck.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

how much did Colorado State's new stadium cost?  they should bulldoze that thing and build one of those.

$225 million, and yes, that would be the smart move. However, the school to the east has never been known for making smart, long-term decisions.

Construction shots as of today on CSU's new stadium.

Any way we can get the conference to vote CSU into the conference and kick KU to the Mountain West, where they belong?

who is Armstrong?

He's a player currently on their team. He's a good player. Preseason Defensive POY in fact.

But imagine that you don't have enough "legends" to pick from that you have to go with a current guy...

My sources in the big 10 say yes, this is a strong possibility.

Baylor spent $266 mill on their brick tarp facade building. CSU is getting a much better stadium for $41 mill less. ku should absolutely do that, if only they had more couch cushions to look under.

I'm glad they've moved past the ugliness around the Mangino firing and are honoring him in this way.  He is the best coach in their history imo.

Also he was fat lol.

Another case of him getting some big boy offers long after we discovered him first. He's announcing Friday.

Quote
Maybe compared to us but TCU, Oklahoma State, Indiana, Houston, Memphis, and FAU are not really big boy offers.

Quote
Not necessarily big boy offers, but there's zero question that TCU and Okie St. are a level or two up from where we are at.

 a level or two

Had a convo with one of my coworkers that is a KU fan. Does Beatty get another "free" year or if they go 2-10 or worse do they pull the plug?

I would have to think they would give him another season at the very least. But I have no clue what their expectations are for the season.
