I think Beatty needs to win at least 3 games to keep his job.

Jfc that is sad. It's rare for a current coach to get a statue/ banner etc. at a stadium while they're there but a player??

The fall Regents meetings are likely going to tell the tale as to whether we'll have dirt moving next summer on our long awaited renovation to Memorial Stadium.

Maybe I'm missing it, but I can't go to our TSC Friend and Lifetime Partner KU's Facilities/Campus Operations page and find a document similar to what KU Lifetime Partner EMAW K-State's Facilities planning has on its webpage.   That document being a periodic update of rolling construction renovation projects that are moving through the various phases of:  Programming, Bid, Construction, Post Construction Punch List, Warranty and then off.   For example in addition to the various construction projects recently completed or underway like Architecture, Wefald Hall and the ongoing Chilled Water/Pedestrian corridor projects.  I can see that the Kimball corridor and GeoSciences (for example) projects are in programming.

The only thing up-to-date on K-State Lifetime partner and friend in EMAW/Rock Chalkin and TSC'ing KU's page is a map of current projects.  (real basic stuff here) and a vary dated map of future projects which only includes track removal at our beloved Memorial Stadium (old news, pfft, come on).

I sure hope Cheyenne Zulu hasn't pulled another Gridiron Club here.   My goodness gracious, how embarrassing for all of us if so.

I would appreciate it if you wouldn't remind me how we mocked them into removing the track.  I still feel bad

It's absolutely hilarious the KU threw away the only thing historic about their Memorial Stadium all because K-State fans made fun of them.

Does that count as bullying? Because I really don't want any part of KSU cats U nation being associated with bullying...

Seeing lots of publications take the under on KU's 2.5 win total, while claiming they'll be improved. A lot faith is being placed in Beattu, aka the love/prison rape child of Bo and Carl Pelini and Dan Monson.

Quote
KANSAS - 3

UNDER. Is Kansas better than it has been? Yes. Will the program eventually resemble a competitive major conference football team under David Beaty? Probably so. Is that going to happen this year? Nah.

Quote
Kansas -- 2.5 (Under): The path out of college football's basement is a tough one to successfully traverse. If Kansas can get two wins in nonconference play, the over is a real possibility, but one of the Jayhawks' two best chances to get a conference win, vs. Iowa State, is a road game. Any kind of jump for this program is more likely to happen in Year 3 or Year 4 under coach David Beaty.

Gawd, it must rough ridin' suck to be a sqwawk.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they win 4 games this year. Hope they've got a few goal posts stock piled somewhere

KU Football 2017:  We beat Texas last year and won the Orange Bowl back in 2007.

Oh no, pulling a 2000 pound steel goalpost down into a crowd of people is way less dangerous than storming the court.   Just ask the KU people and they'll tell you how safe it is.

Historically I don't think anyone has ever been hurt tearing down goalposts.  The serious injuries sustained when students storm the court are common and well known.

It's their own goalpost. They should be able to do whatever they want with it.

First of all, if they want to tear down their goalposts in a very dangerous fashion, by all means, go crazy.   I'm not going to dumpster dive YouTube but there's at least one tear down that came careening down into the masses at our soon to be renovated Memorial Stadium.

In 2006 they rushed the field after as win and hurt some of their own players.
