I've said it before, I've followed facilities projects for years. This is the most protracted odyssey I've ever witnessed.
Lots of schools not exactly kicking ass have done large projects. Iowa State made over and expanded their stadium and they haven't done anything lately.
But I suppose that Zulu had to make sure the taxpayers stepped up and built KU that sports park. Before he could do anything at the football stadium.
Yeah, again like i said, you can't say football upgrades have been priority #1 for 6 years and then literally make every other project a priority over football. I can't believe Zenger keeps repeating that and expects to be believed.
I do think KU gets some upgrades done, primarily the indoor facility. But $300 million is just such an outrageous number to throw out and still be not totally clear about what renderings you like. Just seems pretty daunting and with such crappy support, even with some big donors throwing big long term pledges at it i cant imagine this isnt a rather drawn out affair.
Also feels like typical KU, trying to skip all sorts of steps, like ya know, having a tangible product to sell, not just a hope and dream Beaty is gonna make them awesome
