If you gave me enough legos, I could make that happen...
I hope they didn't pay for that design.

I don't think that image is from any official channels. It seems to be some rando's mockup of what it *might* look like. Either way, it's still going to suck and be embarrassing.

Honestly, I think they should just blow out all their stands, put aluminum bleachers around most of the stadium, and have these premium party areas on that end.

Bam, new stadium for less than we just put into our South EZ.

Do it similar to how Princeton just left their facade and stuck aluminum bleachers in it.

I think the days of bleachers are past their prime.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Gallagher-Iba still the best basketball arena & it’s not close. Wasted on OSU fans.

I very much disagree, it used to be, that expansion was a gigantic mistake.

Unless they really do make it out of legos!   :excited:

OSU fans don’t fill it up, so the expansion makes it worse most games. I’m talking just the building, not the current game day atmosphere. It’s just tight & steep around the court. It was maybe 1/3 full yesterday & still got loud points. It’s the opposite of the Bramlage 1980s multipurpose arena & put a basketball court in the middle design. Put 2008-2015 K-State teams/fans in GIA & I think that would be the loudest arena in CBB & 2nd probably isn’t close.

OSU has always been my 2nd favorite teams because of family history. I lived here 7 years before having kids & have been to a lot of random OSU games as an OSU fan. However, their fans are weirdest combination of entitled & inferiority to OU. Every in-stadium break is just put someone different on the big screen to yell “Go Pokes” & do the guns up hand signs. I was wanting seed company or local car dealer ads just to break it up. They also have to have the oldest fan base. The average age at the game yesterday was at least 10 years older than at Bramlage. If I was OSU I’d have concerns about the basketball fan base dropping even further off a cliff as these people get too old to consistently go to games/die.

OSU has extremely lame fans and they have way overbuilt the capacity of their sports venues.

The Thunder absolutely killed OSU basketball in the under 35 crowd. I know multiple average to die-hard OSU fans above 40 & they can’t get their kids to give a crap about OSU basketball.

Probably true, but their attendance tanked before the thunder came to town.

Yeah, OSU has never filled their stadium/arenas with any great regularity.

They should have never have expanded GIA.   It's empty.

They shouldn't have expanded their football stadium, they rarely sell out.    They don't have the T-Shirt fanbase OU does.

Up to 62,000 seats?

There's literally no one on a major league sports level, or a major college athletic level that's looking to build or renovate stadiums/arenas with more seats then one they've already got.    The last one to do that was CultAggie and in a few years when Jimbo is still losing 3 or 4 games a year they'll have empty seats.

The Buffalo Bills new stadium will seat 10,000 less then what they can seat now in their current stadium.

Even Alabama slightly reduced capacity in their latest renovations.    Michigan struggles to fill their seats for every game.   College football attendance is on a steady decline because people don't want to pay $$ to go sit in some shitty seats in a stadium with sub-par amenities.

Yeah, good effort by that dude but the school and the KBOR would not do that.

I took a tour of UT's stadium last week.  Outside of their sports hall of fame, it was rather unimpressive.

Inside is it noticeable that the longhorn built into the end one seating is offset from the field?

Allen FH, not a bad seat in terms of watching the game or destroying the eardrums of the visiting teams, fans, and world sound records!

More like not a bad seat to have AC/DC blared at.

Yes.
