I used to do that crap in college, but when my hair gets long now, it looks like a lame attempt to cover up a SLIGHTLY receding hair line.

First time growing my hair out since I was just a little guy. Looking for suggestions on a good pomade or product for thick hair that washes out fairly easy. Right now when I comb it back it resembles Machine Gun Preacher-era Gerard Butler

I only shampoo maybe every three days.  After a shampoo that hair day sucks, the second is better, the third is heaven, and the fourth would be greaseball.

Anyway I've been recommended Moroccan oil which I've dabbled with. Mostly rely on this Garnier product which is like crew but way cheaper.  YMMV obvs.

guys, I can do a full blown ponytail now. I'm getting some mixed emotions/reactions, but also a lot of these comparisons:

have I gone too far? should I keep going?

You should punch yourself in your rough ridin' face for suggesting people think you look like Jared rough ridin' Leto.  What you're saying is you're rough ridin' incredibly beautiful.  If that's the case then nobody rough ridin' cares what your hair looks like.  You're goddamned beautiful.  Hair does not matter one bit.  Shave it, grow it out, style it however you like, does not rough ridin' matter.

The nerve of this beautiful sonofabitch.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Thanks for the info, I think I'm going to try some Redken product first, that's what my old barber recommended.

The resemblance is actually pretty uncanny.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Too thin to keep it going? It's starting for me as well. I've been wussing out of longer hair for a year or two because of it.

Exactly one year since my last real haircut.  I've had three or four touch ups.  We have entered a new middle stage.  Probably maintain this length until fall.

Donated mine in October, it was cut really fracking short.
It's Leto length now.

I had to cut off my flowing mane today. I was sad to see it go but I am enjoying summer much more now that I don't sweat every time I step outside. Can't wait to grow it back out in thirty years when I retire!

American Crew, or Redken dishevel if you don't want the shine. A little of any of the good product goes a long way.
