I'd prefer imprisonment for bikes on sidewalks

Personally I view the sidewalk as a bike lane and they should stay there with the other pedestrians

I'm not even a biker but bike lanes usually equal road diet and that's def. needed in this city of 1,000,000 lanes of roads and no traffic.

Bike lane news!

* Protected bike lane construction started on Armor today in midtown.

* bike lanes through westside were completed this week

* 18th street bike lanes painted this summer

* Grand bike lanes will be switched to protected bike lanes in the next year with PIAC funds

* Plans well underway to turn Paseo into a bikeway from Independence to 85th - 19 miles of protected bikeway

What are five shitty places in Kansas City nobody would ever bike to, Alex?

Apparently someone was shot and killed outside of my gym yesterday after I got done with my swim, so that's awesome. #KCMO

@Phil Titola , don't you work underneath 'slys desk? What's KCMO's crime rate like these days? We still ranked in the top 25 in the nation? :crossfingers:

sly titola: the mayor doesn’t control the police force therefore he cannot control crime in the city which he governs

Local control of PD (like every other city in the nation) would be a good step and would remove the excuse politicians have had for years for their failures with crime in this city....and is not going to magically fix it.

This is a problem decades in the making...but definitely sly should have resolved it all in his term.

In good news, I successfully went to Target over lunch without getting shot, so I was pretty excited about that. Beer cheese dip, here we come!

Don't diddle someone else's mate and you stand a good chance of not being shot outside your gym (or anywhere)
