so i guess we scrapped the idea to replace the buck o'neil bridge?
SB lanes will be closed for repairs from may 19 until december  :sdeek:

these are interim repairs.  It takes years to design, plan and build that kind of bridge.

thanks for answering my question mikeyis4dcats

Whoever is in charge of 435 construction sucks a giant one too. They've had the 4th lane blocked (with cones) on both sides for up to 6 months now with zero construction going on. It's goddamn mess.

This isn't true

Well I drive to work everyday on 435 from Quivira RD to Roe and can confirm it's exactly like this. I guess the 4th lane finally opens up past the Metcalf exit going east. It's still exhausting and i've never seen any construction being done.

Wacky IRL tweeted at Sly asking why there was so much construction on 435.....in JOCO

There were no lane closures from late October to march. The current lane closures started in march and you'd have to be blind to not see the numerous construction activities going on.

I should have plenty of time to do so, as it's stand still traffic, EVERYDAY.

I drive through it every day as well for a much longer distance bud. Thankfully I'm going the opposite direction cause eastbound in the morning looks like ass.

Maybe that's where my frustrations lay. East bound on the way to work and west bound on the way home are just giant crap shows everyday. I'll look out for construction more from here on out, but I just feel like I haven't seen it. Maybe they're getting their work in during the day.

Can I get a distance traveled / time spent estimate Wacky?

If this is a Chicago vs KC battle of frustration of traffic, i'll happily tap out 8man. I just think it's silly it takes me anywhere from 20-30 minutes to go 6.5 miles.

This is legit how long it use to take me to get home to downtown when we lived there from here. If that makes anymore sense of why it would be annoying now that i'm so close.

MARC data showed 2023 for new buck bridge.

Pretty excited for it and potential north loop transformational change it could make to downtown.

I was honestly just curious to what engendered this level of frustration... I take a train to work anyway.

It really is. That's gotta be a private golf course that's right there, right?
